Retro Radio is the show that recreates the sound of 1960s TOP 40 radio by playing the lost, the forgotten, and the classics of the 1960s.Records selected for airplay on Retro Radio are based on the WIXY-Sixty survey from Cleveland's legendary Top 40 radio station WIXY 1260.

Since January 2004, Retro Radio has revived regional hits that have since been forgotten by commercial oldies stations. Some of these records never reached the Billboard TOP 40 but reached the TOP 10 on WIXY 1260, WKYC Radio 11, and WHK 14. These records include:

- Distant Cousins - "She Ain't Lovin You No More"
- Rationals - "Respect"
- Illusion - "Did You See Her Eyes"
- Moody Blues - "This Is My House"
- Bob Seger System - "Ramblin Gamblin Man" and "Persecution Smith"
- Richard & The Young Lions - "Open Up Your Door"
- Flirtations - "Nothing But A Heartache"
- Merry Go Round - "Live" and "Listen Listen"
- Doors - "The Unknown Soldier"
- Terry Knight & The Pack - "Love Love Love Love Love"
- Grapefruit - "Elevator"
- Blues Magoos - "Pipe Dream"
... and countless others!

Retro Radio also remembers the Cleveland bands that played at Hullabaloos, armories, school dances, and even in neighborhood back yards around the Cleveland area. These bands include:

- The Choir - "It's Cold Outside" (#1 for 5 straight weeks on WIXY 1260 in 1967)
- The Selective Service - "Shake"
- The Baskerville Hounds - "Space Rock Part II"
- Dick Whittington's Cats - "In The Midnight Hour"
